About Kolej Tuanku Ja'afar (KTJ)
Kolej Tuanku Ja’afar (KTJ) is a British-style international day and boarding school located in Mantin, Negeri Sembilan , approximately one hour from Kuala Lumpur.
The school offers education from Early Years through Sixth Form , with a strong emphasis on holistic development. KTJ describes its education as combining academic rigour with extensive opportunities in sport, music, arts, leadership, community service and outdoor education.
The school operates on an 80-acre campus , with both day and boarding communities. Its boarding model is an important part of the school's identity, particularly from Year 7 onwards.

KTJ operates from an 80-acre campus in Mantin.
Academic & Learning

Boarding
The school operates eight boarding houses in total, including junior and senior boarding houses.
Boarding facilities include:

Lower Sixth students generally share rooms with up to two other students, while Upper Sixth students have access to single or double rooms .
Day Houses
KTJ also operates dedicated Day Houses for students who live off campus.
These provide:

- Breakfast and evening-meal access.
Outdoor / Residential Learning
KTJ incorporates residential trips into the educational experience, particularly for Years 3–10.
Boarding begins formally in Year 7 and continues through Sixth Form.
KTJ operates:

There is one junior boarding house for boys and girls , alongside separate senior boarding houses for boys and girls.
Sixth Form
Boarding is compulsory in Years 12–13.

KTJ has a relatively clear position on learning support.
The school's admissions policy states that it makes excellent provision for SEND and EAL students and will consider applications from students requiring additional learning support.
