The school was established in 1978 with an initial cohort of 29 students. It now provides education to more than 1,900 students from Reception to Year 13 across its network of six campuses in Malaysia and Thailand.

Fairview has full authorization from the International Baccaleaureate Organization (IBO) to provide Primary, Middle and Diploma certification and is the only school in Malaysia offering all three levels of the IB Programme. It also has an academic record of 95% passes for ‘O’ Levels for 15 years.
