Meet Amyra

Amyra is Malaysian, but her story spans continents. She grew up across Asia and Africa, following her father’s assignments as a government worker. For most of her life, “home” was somewhere else — classrooms in different countries, teachers from different cultures, friends from everywhere.

When her family finally returned to Malaysia, they wanted her transition to feel like a homecoming. Since she had always been educated in English, enrolling in a government school where lessons would be taught in a language that never felt like her heart language would have been tough.

Oasis became that bridge. A place where Amyra could continue the international learning style she knew while rediscovering her Malaysian roots.

Her story is exactly why the Hibiscus Scholarship exists: to open doors for students who are Malaysian at heart yet global in perspective, young people who can carry Malaysia’s identity into the world with pride and purpose.

More Than a Symbol

The Hibiscus Scholarship is open to Malaysian citizens who apply and enrol between October 1, 2025, and January 5, 2026. Recipients will receive a financial stipend designed to make international education more accessible, ensuring that Malaysia’s next generation of leaders can grow in an environment that nurtures both global perspective and local pride.

The scholarship is Oasis’ way of giving back to the families who have shaped its community, the Malaysian parents who believed in a different kind of education, one that values character as much as achievement, leadership as much as grades, and innovation as much as tradition.
