The International Islamic School Malaysia (IISM) otherwise known as IIUM Schools was first established in September 1998 and located at Batu 14 Jalan Gombak. It was the fruit of years of study by Muslim scholars of International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) from various parts of the world who longed for a model integrated Islamic school that could provide holistic education to their children as well as those of others, especially Muslim expatriates. The idea of the School was sparked in the mid 1990s by Dato Dr Abdul Hamid Abu Sulayman, the Rector of IIUM then. The School is thus, a testimony to the university #39;s continuous effort in providing quality, affordable, balanced, integrated and holistic education guided by the principles of Islam. The School moved to its present premises close to the IIUM in 2005. It has grown from a humble beginning of 30 students to an enrolment of approximately 1,500 students today, ranging from primary school to A-Levels.

IISM A Levels offers Cambridge International curriculum which is recognised world-wide, and the school is accredited by the Malaysian Education Ministry under the private school sector.

With IISM A Levels, our vision is to create a holistic environment where learning is stimulated not only in academics but also especially in moral and religious values. Our approach is incorporated into our school rsquo;s motto, lsquo;Accommodating differences, creating excellence rsquo; which encourages our educators to steer into the academic objectives as a team while helping students to realise their passions, achieve their goals and to better understand themselves. The students understand the purposes of A Levels education and what options they have ahead of them.

For the past 20 years, we have evolved into an institution that nurtures students from around the world and we take diversity as a rewarding factor while producing learners with multiple individual skills, talents and competency.

IISM A Levels is committed to offering the best academic experience that has been designed to enable every learner to pursue a higher level of education. Our aim is to have the students enrol into the best universities all around the world (World rsquo;s top 100 universities) after completing A-Level education here, that best suit their abilities, interest and aspiration.

The diversity in IISM A Levels has played an important role in shaping our students as individuals, where we celebrate all the differences and emphasise on the uniqueness of cultures around the world. The students get to appreciate the benefits of meeting other people from all around the world which could open doors to many other opportunities, for instance, learning another language.

The school is also recognized by the government as one of its best preparatory studies centres. It has been receiving sponsored students from the government through the Public Service Department (JPA) since 2012 and this is due to the continuous excellent academic achievement of the school in the past.

Teachers are optimistic, helpful and caring in creating a conducive environment which promotes a dynamic, creative and innovative spirit. There are many activities highlighted in the school calendar for example; field trips and other academic programs that enrich students rsquo; experience, either indoors or outdoors. The objectives of these activities are to empower students through their learnings, not only within the four walls but throughout other spectrums. Those ideas are consistent and relevant with our objectives to achieve excellence, in all aspects; academic, spiritual, emotional and physical.
